8 Alternative Search Engines that compete with Google

8 Alternative Search Engines that compete with Google

1. Clusty
the best alternative to Google, clusters results to help you drill down the relevant category
2. Wikia
can customise search results but not very reliable
3. Mahalo
only has manual entries for simple queries
4. Quintura
keyword search makes it easy to drill down but poor design and results
5. Powerset
extremely good for NLP searches but only supports Wikipedia articles now
6. KartOO
the interface is practically impossible to navigate
7. Cuil
confusing design and poor results for complex queries
8. Trexy
concept of follow other's search trail on same topic is interesting but site design is terrible

Clusty’s breadth of options and relevance make it the best alternative search engine.
